Site analysis

Researching and analyzing the social, historical, climatic, geographical, legal, and infrastructural characteristics of a given site.

Conceptual studies

Drawings, maps or renderings to inspire the creation of your design.

Planting design

The spatial or architectural use of plant arrangement of trees, shrubs, groundcover and herbaceous plants for spatial definition.

Irrigation design

Custom designed systems to ensure the proper water delivery and coverage of planting designs to maintain a healthy and vibrant landscape.

Amenity design

Common areas dedicated to outdoor recreation and leisure activities: swimming pool, playground, dog park, sport courts, community gardens, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, pits, passive and active gathering spaces.

Hardscapes

The nonliving part of the landscape: Pathways, patios, decks, outdoor furniture, walls, walkways, fences, concrete, brick, and boulders all to accent the beauty of the landscape design.

Construction administration

Helps to ensure successful implementation of the design and materials specified for a given project. Review submittal, respond to RFI’s, limited site observation, and punch list reports.

Manley Land Design was established by Steve Manley in 1989, his dedication, guidance, and legacy continue to inspire the new generation of MLD. In 2022, Aaron Neitzke stepped in as Steve retired and rebranded the company as MLD Studio, carrying on the Manley Land Design legacy.
